Reading:

Introduced Literature Unit on Holes, read chapters 1-3 and thoroughly discussed comprehension, introduced new vocabulary words from the chapters we read
No Homework
Math:
Classwork- Discussed and went over homework problems from last night, introduced Lesson 2 on odd/even numbers
Homework- Lesson 2 Written Practice (reminder: bring a red pen to class each day)
**Note** Students are allowed to grade their own math homework problems as we review them the following day. Sometimes they will write 25/25- because that may be the number of problems they got correct out of the total number of problems. Please note even so, the math homework is only worth 5 points each day. For that reason, parents may see 2 seperate grades. Just know that homework is graded on quality, effort, completion and timeliness.
