Wednesday, 10/5 is an Early Release Day for students
Friday,10/7 is Jeans Day, and students can donate $1 to wear their favorite non-AOT t-shirt (appropriate graphics, no tank tops, no spaghetti straps, etc.) as well to raise funds to benefit our 5th grade camping trip to Mt. Lemmon. 

Language Arts:
Students in my class are reading a new book titled "Hoot" by Carl Hiaason.  This week, we will read and discuss chapters 6-10 in class. 

We will also be completing the writing process and implementing the Six Traits of Writing for a persuasive essay since the main theme of "Hoot" ties into this type of writing. 

The presentation portion of the "Speak Up" report on Sports will be on Monday, 10/3. 

Our new project is the biography reading contract and the writing portion of the assignment is due on Friday, Oct. 7.
